This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you visit dybs4life.com, communicate with us, join our mailing list, register for a workshop, purchase a product or service, use the DYBS Online Essential Life Skills Hub, or otherwise interact with DYBS.

This Privacy Policy applies to users in the United States. DYBS is based in Vesuvius, Virginia.

Depending on how you interact with DYBS, we may collect the following information:

Contact & Registration Information

Online Hub Information

When the DYBS Online Essential Life Skills Hub becomes available, we may collect or store:

• DYBS program transcripts or completion histories
• Journal entries
• Files or materials uploaded by the user
• Communications with DYBS regarding the account

Journal entries and uploaded files are not intended for medical records, therapy records, financial account information, Social Security numbers, government identification numbers, or other highly sensitive information.

The Hub is an educational and personal-development resource and is not a crisis-response or emergency-monitoring service. Journal entries, answers, and uploaded files may not be reviewed immediately—or at all—and should never be used to request emergency assistance.

Forms, Surveys, & Communications

When you complete a form, answer a survey, contact us, or help us improve our programs, we may collect the information you choose to provide.

Please do not submit medical diagnoses, financial account information, Social Security numbers, passwords, or other highly sensitive personal information through our general website forms.

Community Submissions

If you send us artwork, photographs, videos, poems, testimonials, stories, or other creative materials, we may collect the submission and the associated name, email address, and permission information.

Submitting material does not automatically give DYBS permission to publish it. We will obtain appropriate permission before publicly displaying personally identifiable submissions. A parent or legal guardian must authorize publication when the creator or person depicted is under 18.

Payment Information

Payments may be processed through PayPal or another payment-processing provider identified at checkout. DYBS does not intend to directly receive or store complete payment-card numbers.

Payment providers collect and process payment information under their own privacy policies and terms. PayPal acts as an independent controller of information it processes in connection with its payment services. You can review the PayPal Privacy Statement.

Automatically Collected Information

When you visit our website or use the Online Hub, we and our service providers may automatically collect:

If you select telephone calls as your preferred method, we may call the number you provide for the requested purpose.

If you affirmatively select text messaging, DYBS may send texts related to your inquiry, registration, account, or requested services. Promotional or automated marketing text messages will be sent only with any consent required by law. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to marketing texts will not be required as a condition of purchasing a DYBS service.

You may withdraw permission for text messages by replying STOP or by contacting us at info@dybs4life.com.

4. Cookies, Google Analytics, and reCAPTCHA

We may use cookies and similar technologies to operate the website, remember preferences, understand website use, maintain security, and improve our services.

We plan to use Google Analytics to collect aggregated information about website traffic and visitor interactions. Google Analytics may collect device, browser, usage, and approximate location information through cookies or similar technologies. DYBS will not intentionally send names, email addresses, telephone numbers, journal content, or other directly identifying information to Google Analytics.

We also plan to use Google reCAPTCHA to help detect spam, fraud, bots, and abusive activity. reCAPTCHA may process device, browser, interaction, and security information for these purposes.

Where available, visitors may use our cookie-preference controls to accept or reject nonessential analytics cookies. Essential security and authentication technologies may be required for the website and Online Hub to function.

5. How We Share Information

DYBS does not sell personal information.

We may disclose limited information to service providers that help us operate our organization, including:

• WordPress and Elementor-related website services
• MailerLite for forms, subscriber management, and email delivery
• Google Analytics for website measurement
• Google reCAPTCHA for security, fraud, and abuse prevention
• PayPal or another disclosed payment processor
• Online Hub hosting, storage, authentication, and support providers
• Professional advisers, insurers, accountants, or legal counsel

These providers may process information only as permitted by their agreements, their own applicable privacy obligations, and the law.

We do not disclose journal entries, uploaded files, or participant answers for advertising purposes.

6. Privacy of Minors

DYBS currently intends its online services for individuals who are at least 13 years old.

We do not knowingly permit children under 13 to create Online Hub accounts or knowingly collect personal information online directly from children under 13. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

A teen between 13 and 17 17 may receive an individual Hub login only after a parent or legal guardian creates, approves, or authorizes the account and provides required consent.

Parents or guardians may have access to registration information, program enrollment, payment records, progress, badges, and completion transcripts associated with a minor’s linked account.

Journal visibility and sharing options will be explained inside the Hub before a journal entry is submitted. Journal entries will not be publicly displayed. DYBS may access or disclose information when reasonably necessary to operate the service, provide requested support, address a serious safety concern, investigate misuse, or comply with the law.

Parents and guardians may contact info@dybs4life.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of a minor’s information, subject to identity and authority verification and applicable law.

7. Community Wall and Public Content

Content will not be placed on the DYBS Community Wall merely because it was emailed or submitted to us.

Before publishing personally identifiable content, DYBS will obtain permission from the person who submitted it. If the submission was created by or identifies a person under 18, DYBS will require permission from a parent or legal guardian.

Public submissions may be visible, copied, or shared by other internet users. DYBS cannot control what third parties do with information after it has been made public with permission.

Permission to publish may be withdrawn by contacting info@dybs4life.com. We will make reasonable efforts to remove the content from locations controlled by DYBS, but we cannot guarantee removal of copies made by others.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and to satisfy legal, accounting, security, and business obligations.

For example:

• Mailing-list information may be retained until you unsubscribe.
• Account content may be retained while the account is active and for a limited period after closure to process requests, recover accidental deletions, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations.

• Public content may remain published until permission is withdrawn or DYBS removes it.

Some information may temporarily remain in secured backups after deletion from active systems.
